Winter in Spiti paints the landscape in a serene blanket of snow, creating a breathtaking, frozen wonderland. The region’s isolated villages hibernate under a thick layer of snow. Travel becomes challenging, but it’s an ideal time for those seeking solitude, adventure, and the chance to witness the true essence of the Himalayas in their most pristine form
- We’ll have a warm meet and greet at Chandigarh station by 4 PM, allowing us to get acquainted before embarking on our journey to our first destination, Shimla.
- Your overnight stay will be in the enchanting city of Shimla.

- Following breakfast, we commence our journey towards Kalpa via the scenic Indo-Tibetan Highway.
- Kalpa, a quaint village renowned for its lush apple orchards, will be our destination for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- After breakfast, we’ll explore the Suicide Point in Kalpa for its breathtaking views.
- Our journey continues as we head towards Tabo, making a stop at the stunning Khab Sangam, the confluence of the Spiti and Sutlej rivers.
- We’ll also visit the Gue Monastery along the way.
- Your overnight stay will be in the picturesque town of Tabo.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Following breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to the ancient Tabo Monastery, the oldest in Spiti.
- Our journey then takes us to the majestic Dhankar Monastery, nestled amidst towering mountains.
- We’ll continue our expedition and reach Kaza, the vibrant capital of Spiti, where you’ll spend the night.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Following breakfast, we embark on an extraordinary day of exploration. Our first stop is Hikkim village, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send heartfelt letters to your loved ones.
- Later we go to Komic, Asia’s highest village, and conclude our adventure in Langza, famous for its prehistoric heritage and the iconic Buddha Statue.
- After this remarkable experience, we shall return to Kaza for an overnight stay.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Check out from Kaza and proceed to Key Monastery, an iconic Tibetan Buddhist site.
- Next, we visit the breathtaking Chicham Bridge, the highest hanging bridge in the region.
- After lunch, our journey takes us to Nako Village, where we explore the Nako Monastery and the serene Nako Lake.
- Your overnight accommodation will be in the tranquil surroundings of Nako.
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Following breakfast, we embark on a journey to the offbeat town of Narkanda, a hidden gem in Himachal Pradesh.
- You’ll spend the night in the charming town of Narkanda

- Post breakfast, we’ll visit the majestic Hatu Peak, the highest point in Shimla, to soak in the breathtaking views. As we conclude our memorable journey through Himachal, we bid farewell to this paradise, expressing our gratitude for the warmth and hospitality experienced throughout the trip. We’ll make our way back to Ambala and reach the station by 9 PM, marking the end of our unforgettable adventure. Goodbye, Himachal!

- Winter Spiti Expedition is an Experience in itself, due to temperature dropping to negative degrees, washrooms in the hotels are not operational, you will have access to 2-3 common washrooms among the whole group.
- Access to high altitude regions of Spiti Valley, especially Hikkim, Langza villages & Dhankar etc may be blocked during winter months due to excessive snowfall. Hence, the visit to these locations is weather-dependent. In such a case, we will look for the best possible alternatives, as feasible.
- Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. may cause itinerary change. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort & general wellbeing
- Do NOT carry Suitcases or heavy luggage, a good Backpack is recommended and would be comfortable to carry.
- It’s a Backpacking Trip and not a Luxury Trip, the Trip will be on a decent comfort basis & not a luxury and this is how we would be fully able to taste the culture of Backpacking.
- Heaters in the room will be on Personal Cost
- The Schedule can be changed on the spot by the Trip leader according to the circumstances & convenience.
- Any cost arising out of any event beyond our control, like, a strike, bandh, riot, train cancellation, flight cancellation, mechanical breakdown, or natural calamity like heavy rains, landslides, snowfall, earthquakes, will be directly borne by the guest.
- The Bucketlister won’t be responsible in case any sightseeing/activity gets canceled due to any natural calamities or man-made incidents.
- Standard check-in for hotels: 1 noon and check-out by 10:00 AM. (Early check- is subject to availability)
- There will be limitations for Jain Food options, although we will try to provide the best food as per the resources available.
- At some sightseeing destinations, buses are allowed only till the parking area & travelers will have to walk to the monument or can hire the local transport on their own.
- The schedule can be changed on the spot by the tour manager according to the circumstances & convenience.
- Guests would be responsible for their luggage/ baggage throughout the trip.
- Train ticket bookings usually start 4 months before the departure dates, so there are chances the tickets will be RAC/ Waiting. If you book the tour late, please check the ticket status with us at the time of booking, you might have to pay a bit extra to get a confirmed seat (Tatkal)
- The initial registration amount is 50% refundable only if it’s canceled 30 days before the trip
- 25% will be charged if canceled 20 days before the trip
- 50% will be charged if canceled 15 days before the trip
- 70% will be charged if canceled 5 days before the trip
- 100% will be charged if canceled 1 day before the trip
